How to Apply

1. Information phase

Course offerings
The first step is to study the University‘s services and programmes which can be found on the website (>> course offerings), either available as download from our download center. During the phase, between the selection of a programme and the decision to apply the applicant may call on the University‘s counselling services which are ready to assist where needed. In addition, a personal meeting with counselling staff may be arranged. Nerely every week we organise an information day at our Campus Location. (>> course offerings)

Course Structure

Following the recommendations of the Bologna Follow-up Group and the Bologna-tuning Group we already offer the new recommended structure of study programmes. The bachelor's program extends over a period of six (eight) semesters and the Master's program over a period of two (four) semesters. Every student has to be enroled into the first semester of study programme. During the first semester students can pass through an APL-Procedure (Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning) and get hereby the opportunity to submit an application for exemption of study modules/units. At least a maximum of 160 ECTS-Credits to a bachelor's degree will be granted for demonstrated proficiency. (>> read more about the course structure)

Learning Structure

All courses are structured according to the Bologna reform in modules. A module is the connection of several courses related objectively to an educational unit, which will be completed and validated proof of performance. (>> more about learning structure)

2. Application Phase / Admission Requirements
Once the decision in favour of the University has been taken, the Application Phase begins. Candidates carefully check the Admission Requirements, fill in the duly signed Application Form and enclose the prescribed Application Documentation. (>> admission requirements)

Please notice:

Everyone can apply for a study programme. The European New University is an open institution of higher education and provides applicants access to the fields of study (Bachelor, Master), not only by higher education qualification such as Matura/Abitur ..., but also by competency evaluation, by Assessment or by decision of the special expertise in a particular case. Direct admission is granted when all relevant conditions are fulfilled.

3. Enrolment phase
When the Application Package arrives at the Office of Admissions the Enrolment Phase begins. After checking your documents you will receive a study offer tailored to your needs by mail. Send back the duly signed study contract, together with the tuition fee as specified in the study contract. Tuition Fees are laid down in the University’s Fee Schedule. The enrolment will be determined if the tuition fee has been paid and all the registration requirements are fulfilled. Admission to the programme is communicated in writing. (>> enrolment information)

4. APL-Procedure / Assessment phase (optional)
The study programme can be shortened if advanced standing credit is granted by means of Assessment Center Evaluation, by direct Credit Transfer and/or by APL-Procedure. Maximum credit transfer is limited for example to 160 ECTS credits into Bachelor level programmes. The student will be informed in writing if an Assessment Center has to be passed to rectify unclear statements made in the application or to ascertain the grant of additional credits by examination, interview or other means of evaluation. (>> APL-Procedure)
